Job summary

Pearson is seeking individuals to score teacher licensure responses remotely as part of our Evaluation team. The role involves evaluating responses, applying scoring standards, and participating in consensus scoring discussions to ensure fair assessments.

Training precedes scoring, with sessions on weekdays and an intermittent schedule. Ideal candidates include current or former educators in relevant content areas, willing to work remotely.

Qualifications

• Health content area knowledge or credentials.
• Educators with college/university teaching or advising in a relevant field within the last 3 years.
• Degree in the content area with recent professional employment in that area.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate responses to test questions by New York teacher candidates.
• Internalize scoring standards and participate in consensus scoring discussions.
• Recognize and discuss bias types and apply strategies to reduce bias in scoring.
• Meet quality and productivity requirements, including passing a qualifying test.
