Humana seeks an Associate Director, Quality Engineering to lead quality practices across a defined portfolio. You will drive test automation, release readiness, and continuous improvement with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Architecture, and DevOps.

You will mentor QE managers, leads, and SDETs, set governance and KPIs, and embed quality across the SDLC. Strong AI-driven QE adoption and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
• 10+ years in software or quality engineering disciplines.
• 5+ years leading quality engineering or software delivery teams in large enterprises.
• Experience leading QA across multiple agile teams or portfolios.
• Modernization of QE with automation, tooling and metrics.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps and CI/CD.
• Experience with API/UI/integration and end-to-end testing.
• Familiar with distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in matrixed organizations and leading distributed teams.
• Proven adoption of AI capabilities in QE processes.

• Modernize QE tooling and test approaches for APIs and cloud platforms.
• Oversee non-functional quality: performance, resiliency, security.
• Use metrics and production insights for continuous improvement.
