Humana is seeking an Associate Director of Quality Engineering to lead strategy and execution across a defined portfolio. You will mentor managers and engineers, set KPIs, and advance automation and AI-enabled testing within a large enterprise.

The role emphasizes embedding quality across SDLC, driving release readiness, and coordinating with Product, Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, and enterprise partners. Remote work is supported with travel for meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in software/quality engineering, testing, or related disciplines.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing quality engineering, test automation, or software delivery teams in large enterprises.
• Experience leading quality engineering across multiple agile teams or a complex portfolio.
• Automation modernization, tooling, process improvement, and metrics-driven execution.
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and modern architectures.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsabilités

• Lead quality engineering strategy and execution across a defined portfolio or segment.
• Develop and mentor quality engineering managers, leads, engineers, and SDETs.
• Establish portfolio quality goals, KPIs, and governance for release readiness and production stability.
• Embed built-in quality across planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Oversee test strategy across functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, and release validation.
• Manage portfolio-level quality risk, including defect trends and environment issues.
• Drive automation-first practices and CI/CD integration of quality signals.
• Lead AI-enabled quality engineering capabilities and innovations.
• Sponsor modernization of QA frameworks, tooling, and test approaches for APIs and cloud-native platforms.
• Oversee non-functional quality practices including performance, resiliency, and security validation.
• Use metrics and insights to drive continuous improvement and investment priorities.
• Align with stakeholders on strategy, standards, and reference architecture.
