Job summary

Datavant seeks an experienced HCC coder to review medical records and code diagnoses using ICD-10 CM for risk adjustment and reimbursement. You will ensure compliance with ICD-10 CM, DRG guidelines, and payer policies, while maintaining high accuracy.

You will work in a fast-paced, remote environment, manage multiple client projects, and meet deadlines with strong written and verbal communication. This role is full-time and focuses on healthcare data accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HCC coding experience.
• Strong ICD-10 knowledge and medical terminology.
• Ability to work in a remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to meet deadlines and work independently.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 CM, DRG guidelines and reimbursement policies.
• Commitment to 40 hours weekly and multitask across clients.
• Credentials in AHIMA or AAPC as listed.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify and code diagnoses using ICD-10 CM for risk adjustment and reimbursement.
• Ensure coding compliance with ICD-10 CM, DRGs, and payer guidelines.
• Maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management.
