Qualifications

• Must hold national coder certification through AAPC or AHIMA (e.g., CRC, CPC, CCS).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in medical risk adjustment / HCC coding.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records for accurate and compliant diagnosis code abstraction for Medicare, Commercial, and Medicaid risk adjustment.
• Conduct full coding reviews for special projects and maintain adherence to ICD-10-CM Official Guidelines and client-specific coding requirements.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding workload and production expectations while achieving over 95% quality accuracy.
