Job summary

Dahl Consulting is recruiting for an experienced HCC & ProFee Coder to support a healthcare services client on a remote contract-to-hire basis. The role focuses on high-level coding validation, risk adjustment audits, and documentation review within CMS and Medicare guidelines.

The ideal candidate has extensive ICD-10-CM knowledge, HCC modeling experience, and a track record of achieving coding accuracy. Strong communication and compliance with HIPAA are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Current AAPC or AHIMA credential required (CPC/COC/CCS-P).
• Minimum 5 years of HCC-specific coding experience in CMS environments.
• Deep knowledge of ICD-10-CM, HCC hierarchies, and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review diagnosis codes for ICD-10-CM alignment with guidelines.
• Validate coder accuracy per project-specific rules.
• Perform CMS and Rx HCC risk adjustment validation.
• Review CPT II coding and AWV documentation for completeness.
• Document results in client systems and reports.
