Job summary

Datavant is seeking an HCC coder to review medical records and assign accurate diagnoses using ICD-10-CM guidelines. The role requires at least 2 years of HCC coding experience and a strong knowledge of medical terminology.

Candidates must be able to work remotely for 40 hours per week and maintain a high coding accuracy. Ideal applicants will hold AHIMA or AAPC credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC family; CRC preferred) and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' HCC coding experience.
• Extensive ICD-10 knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work remotely.
• Able to commit to 40 hours weekly.
• Credentials: AHIMA RHIA/RHIT/CCS or AAPC CPC/CPC-H/COC/CIC/CRC (CRC required).

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify and code diagnoses per project guidelines.
• Code using ICD-10-CM guidelines and applicable DRG policies.
• Maintain a coding accuracy rate of 95% or higher.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
