Job summary

Datavant, the data collaboration platform for healthcare, is seeking an HCC coder to review medical records and code diagnoses using ICD-10 CM guidelines, ensuring accurate reflection of patient conditions for risk adjustment and reimbursement. The role requires a minimum of 2 years' HCC coding, extensive ICD-10 knowledge, and AHIMA or AAPC credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' HCC coding experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10 CM guidelines and coding policies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; remote work capable.
• AHIMA or AAPC credentials preferred (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CRC).

Responsibilities

• The certified coder reviews, analyzes, and codes diagnostic information in a patient’s medical record based on client specific guidelines for the project.
• The coder will ensure compliance with ICD-10 CM, DRGs coding guidelines, third party reimbursement policies, regulations, and accreditation guidelines.
• Coders must meet and maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate.
• Any other task requested by management.
