Job summary

Dahl Consulting is seeking an experienced HCC & ProFee Coder for a remote contract-to-hire role. You will validate ICD-10-CM codes, perform CMS and Rx HCC risk adjustments, and review CPT II documentation to support accurate risk adjustment and quality initiatives.

You'll work with healthcare providers, adhere to HIPAA/PHI regulations, and maintain a minimum coding accuracy rate of 96% while onboarding and during audits.

Qualifications

• Current AAPC or AHIMA credential (CPC/COC/CCS-P).
• Minimum 5 years of HCC-specific coding experience.
• Extensive experience with ICD-10-CM coding.
• Extensive experience with CMS HCC risk adjustment.
• Extensive experience with Rx HCC risk adjustment.
• Extensive experience with CPT Category II coding.
• Extensive experience with Medicare Annual Wellness Visit coding.
• Recent experience coding E/M services and ICD-10-CM diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate diagnosis codes to ensure ICD-10-CM alignment.
• Verify coding accuracy per project-specific requirements.
• Perform CMS HCC risk adjustment code validation and data abstraction reviews.
• Perform Rx HCC risk adjustment code validation and data abstraction reviews.
• Review CPT Category II coding and documentation for accuracy.
• Apply Medicare AWV coding and documentation guidelines.
• Document time worked and complete admin tasks.
• Ensure HIPAA and PHI compliance throughout processes.
• Collaborate with leadership on assignments and questions.
