Job summary

Datavant is hiring an HCC Auditor to review coded medical records, ensuring accurate representation of patient conditions for risk adjustment and reimbursement. You will translate clinical documentation into precise codes and verify the integrity of the work.

Ideal candidates have 2 years each in HCC coding and auditing, plus strong ICD-10 knowledge, medical terminology, and relevant certifications. This role supports remote work and requires high accuracy and accountability.

Qualifications

• Two years' HCC coding experience required.
• Two years' HCC auditing experience required.
• Strong ICD-10 knowledge and medical terminology background.
• HS diploma or GED; professional certifications preferred (RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC/AAPC).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, compliant, remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Audit coded charts according to client guidelines.
• Navigate multiple guideline sets with ease.
• Maintain 95% quality at the diagnosis level.
• Respond to rebuttals from coders or auditors.
• Join weekly coding project review meetings.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the quality supervisor.
