Job summary

Avalara is seeking a GTM Program Lead (New Business Sales) to shape the strategy and structure of major learning programs. You’ll guide instructional designers, ensuring programs meet measurable outcomes and business goals, with a focus on AI-driven efficiency.

You’ll work within the Learning Strategy Team under GTM Enablement, driving program ownership, timelines, and resource coordination while staying current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field as described above.
• 5+ years of experience in curriculum program development, education, instructional design, or learning & development.
• Proven experience designing and managing large-scale learning programs.
• Strong familiarity with outcome-based instructional design approaches, such as backwards design.
• Expertise in ADDIE, SAM and Bloom’s Taxonomy; strong project management for multi-component programs.
• Proficiency with eLearning technologies, LMS platforms, and collaborative tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, development, and implementation of large-scale learning programs.
• Define program-level objectives and outcomes aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with instructional designers to provide program frameworks and guidance.
• Ensure courses within programs align with learning outcomes and goals.
• Coordinate sequencing of courses to create learner-friendly pathways.
• Own program delivery timelines, deliverables, and resources across the team.
• Provide guidance to instructional designers to maintain program vision and standards.
• Apply backwards design to align structure with measurable outcomes.
• Develop evaluation strategies to assess program effectiveness and impact.
• Monitor industry trends and incorporate innovative learning approaches.
• Identify ways to integrate AI to improve program development and learner movement.
