Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Business Development Manager - Cruise Missiles (Navy and USMC) to drive growth for Navy/USMC cruise missile opportunities, focusing on early customer engagement, opportunity shaping, and competitive pursuit strategy.

You will partner with program teams, customer stakeholders, and leadership to build relationships, assess pipeline potential, and position the organization for success in complex defense programs. Remote work option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with 6+ years.
• 3+ years in business development, capture management, or program management for complex technical programs.
• Understanding of cruise missile technologies, including airframes and propulsion systems.
• Knowledge of Navy or USMC acquisition processes and budgets.
• Experience in competitive pursuits leading to contract awards.
• Familiarity with FAR and DoD acquisition policy.
• Strong communication skills for customer and leadership briefings.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute growth strategy for Navy and USMC cruise missile opportunities
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities from early engagement through RFP release
• Build and maintain relationships with key Navy and Marine Corps program offices
• Create customer engagement plans and accurately record insights in CRM
• Track Navy and USMC budgets and acquisition strategies for opportunity identification
• Gather competitive intelligence to inform bid/no-bid decisions
• Identify and recruit teaming partners for missile integration projects
