Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Business Development Manager to grow our cruise missile portfolio with Navy and USMC customers. The Kinetics area focuses on hypersonic and cruise missile solutions, building relationships and market insight to turn opportunities into wins across maritime, air-launched, and ground weapons.

You will be the day-to-day face to program offices, warfare centers, and requirements organizations, while collaborating with capture, technical, and pricing teams to shape opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years supporting DoD programs; Master's degree with 6+ years also qualifies.
• 3+ years in business development, capture management, or program management for complex technical programs.
• Understanding of cruise missile or tactical missile technologies and related domains.
• Knowledge of Navy/USMC acquisition organizations, budgets, and requirements processes.
• US Citizenship with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Navy/USMC cruise missile growth strategies per business objectives.
• Identify, qualify, and shape opportunities from early engagement through RFP release.
• Build and maintain relationships across PEO Unmanned Aviation, strike weapons programs, and related offices.
• Maintain Marine Corps relationships across MCSC, PEO Land Systems, and related labs.
• Develop engagement plans and record insights and pipeline data in CRM.
• Track budgets, requirements, and strategies to time opportunities.
• Gather market intelligence to inform bid/no-bid decisions.
• Identify and recruit teaming partners and suppliers in key domains.
• Support capture managers with win strategies and proposal reviews.
• Align IRAD investments with Navy/USMC requirements; support governance processes.
• Support pipeline, gate reviews, and annual operating plan inputs.
• Represent Leidos at industry days and government forums.
