Job summary

Nelnet is seeking an experienced Group Product Manager to own one or more NextGen solutions end to end, guiding discovery, requirements, and delivery with engineering and design partners. You will shape strategy, maintain cross‑functional alignment, and mentor a small team of PMs to deliver high-impact, AI‑driven features for higher education institutions and students.

You will collaborate with sales, implementation, and client support, drive roadmap outcomes, and ensure regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience with 1+ year mentoring PMs.
• Experience launching complex SaaS or platform products.
• Experience shipping AI-enabled or data-driven software with measurable impact.
• Ability to align stakeholders across engineering, design, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Own NextGen solutions end to end—from discovery to release.
• Dig into data, prototype, and validate solutions with administration and student stakeholders.
• Model discovery and decision-making to guide PMs you lead.
• Lead and grow a small team of Product Managers with coaching and clarity.
