Job summary

Sales Talent, Inc. is seeking a Grocery Business Development Manager for a nearly 50-year-old snack producer. Remote role with Southeast/Central location flexibility, leading growth with regional and national grocery retailers.

You will own the sales process from prospecting through close, collaborate with the VP of Sales & Marketing, and help shape retailer-specific ideas, private-label programs, and seasonal concepts while expanding incremental year one revenue.

Qualifications

• 3–10+ years of successful experience in CPG sales, retail business development, broker management, business development, or a related customer-facing sales role.
• Hunter mentality: comfortable with prospecting, direct buyer outreach, getting meetings, preparing presentations, following up persistently, and managing multiple opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Research and prospect qualified grocery retailers and buyers through email, phone, LinkedIn, networking, trade shows, and broker relationships.
• Secure buyer meetings, identify new opportunities, coordinate samples and presentations, and maintain consistent follow-up to keep deals moving.
• Close small and mid-sized opportunities independently while partnering with the VP of Sales & Marketing on larger enterprise presentations, pricing, negotiations, and closing.
• Maintain a disciplined HubSpot pipeline with clear next steps, owners, and target dates while coordinating across Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Customer Success to advance opportunities and contribute toward $750-1.5M in incremental Year 1 revenue.
