TotalEnergies seeks a Senior Transmission Interconnection Engineer to lead interconnection activities for solar, wind, and storage projects across the United States. The role sits in Austin, Houston, or fully remote with travel as needed, requiring deep knowledge of ISO/RTO processes and grid codes.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, provide technical guidance and robust documentation, mentor junior staff, and advance project pipelines to accelerate renewable integration while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years in generation interconnection, transmission planning, power systems engineering, or a related field within the renewable energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of grid codes and interconnection processes across major U.S. markets (e.g., ERCOT, CAISO, PJM).

Responsibilities

• Lead transmission and interconnection activities for solar, wind, BESS and load projects across the United States.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet interconnection requirements and progress efficiently through ISO/RTO processes.
• Provide technical guidance and compliance support, ensuring accurate project documentation and effective information flow across teams.
• Mentor junior team members and support internal stakeholders in navigating interconnection timelines and deliverables.
