Job summary

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is seeking a remote advocate to drive grassroots campaigns and volunteer engagement across Montana and Wyoming. The role supports federal campaigns and builds local partnerships with state government officials.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant work, with preference for campaign organizing and fundraising experience. Travel up to 20% is required, and Salesforce or similar tools are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
• Political issues or campaign organizing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience attracting, developing, and engaging volunteers preferred.
• Fundraising experience is a plus.
• Experience using Salesforce, Every Action, or similar tools is a plus.
• Experience or familiarity with fundamentals of Direct Action Organizing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements comprehensive local and state grassroots strategies and advocacy campaigns, demonstrating volunteer constituent support for cancer-related policy initiatives.
• Organizes volunteers to complete federal activities in collaboration with national teams and coordinates lobby days.
• Writes and disseminates e-mails to volunteers, legislative alerts, talking points, and training curriculum for diverse audiences.
• Maintains ACS CAN web pages, Facebook pages, and other social media accounts following guidelines.
• Represents ACS CAN and its mission to elected officials and staff, coordinating with regional and national teams.
