Job summary

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is seeking a Grassroots Manager to plan and execute a comprehensive grassroots advocacy program across assigned geographies. This remote role can be home-based within Montana and Wyoming, with travel up to 20% to support state campaigns and events.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.
Political issues or campaign organizing experience strongly preferred.
Experience attracting, developing, and engaging volunteers preferred.
Fundraising experience is a plus.
Experience using Salesforce, Every Action, or similar tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develops local and state grassroots strategies and campaigns with volunteer support.
Organizes volunteers to complete federal activities with national teams.
Writes emails, alerts, talking points, and training materials for volunteers.
Plans and manages lobby days and virtual events to drive engagement.
Maintains ACS CAN pages and social media accounts.
Represents ACS CAN professionally and builds partnerships.
