Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Partnerships Operations Lead for Government to build and run the operating foundation for the Partnerships team. This role coordinates with Account Directors, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Legal, Finance, Security, and Technical Success to move opportunities from intake through execution.

The ideal candidate will design scalable workflows, standardize handoffs, and drive efficient government partner motions while thriving in ambiguity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in operations, revenue/sales operations, deal desk, or complex program management.
• Experience building cross-functional workflows in fast-moving environments.
• Experience supporting end-to-end deal lifecycles in enterprise tech or government contexts.
• Strong program-management and data-oriented skills with CRM, reporting, and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end operating cadence for partner opportunities from intake to execution.
• Design and improve standard processes, stage gates, and handoffs.
• Translate government partner requirements into clear workflows and decisions.
• Coordinate deal execution across multiple teams ensuring clear owners and timelines.
• Standardize readiness criteria for commercial to Technical Success handoffs.
• Unblock complex deals, drive approvals, and close gaps between functions.
• Maintain a reliable contract milestones and launch data source of truth.
• Generate insights from pipeline data for leadership reviews.
• Identify workflow automation opportunities to reduce cycle time.
