Job summary

The American Heart Association seeks an Operations Manager, Government Grants to provide project- and initiative-level operational coordination for government grants. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, grant-funded role with current funding through July 31, 2027, and potential extension.

Location can be flexible and home-based. Reporting to the National Government Funding Director, you will support PIs and implementation teams across the grant lifecycle, handling budgeting, compliance, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with federal grant financials and budget management.
• Familiarity with OMB Uniform Guidance and NIH policies.
• Experience with government funding mechanisms (CDC, HRSA, NIH).

Responsibilities

• Expense review and prompt invoicing.
• Coordinate prior approval requests and compliance.
• Budget planning, monitoring, and forecasts.
• Personnel and compensation documentation review.
• Subrecipient and contractor coordination.
• Communication, reporting, and deliverable tracking.
• Cost transfers and expense reallocations.
• Records management and closeout support.
• Other duties as assigned.
