Job summary

The American Heart Association is seeking an Operations Manager, Government Grants to provide coordination and support to PIs and project teams across government grants throughout the grant lifecycle. This full-time, benefits-eligible, grant-funded role offers flexible, home-based work with potential extension beyond funding.

You will report to the National Government Funding Director and help manage budgets, compliance, and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience
• Understanding of financial systems, journal entries, and expense management
• Familiarity with OMB Uniform Guidance and NIH policies
• Familiarity with federal grantors such as CDC, HRSA, and NIH
• Experience in project management in compliance with regulations

Responsibilities

• Expense Review, invoice processing and submission
• Identify and coordinate prior approval or waiver requirements with Finance, Legal, or OFP
• Support budget planning, monitoring, and forecasting and assist with budget adjustments
• Support review of personnel allocations and effort-related documentation
• Coordinate operational documentation for contractors and subrecipients
• Draft responses and track program milestones, deliverables, and reporting requirements
• Assist with cost transfers, reallocations, and documentation routing
• Maintain audit-ready project files and support closeout activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
