Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions seeks a Manager of Government Relations to support state and local policy efforts, manage projects, and assist internal policy development. The role involves educating and advocating on public policy issues to advance Ryder’s priorities and maintaining relationships with government, civic, business leaders, and other stakeholders.

The position reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Affairs and collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate government

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in political science, economics, public policy/public administration or related field is required.
• 5+ years of professional experience in government relations and/or related field.
• 3+ years navigating state/federal legislative, regulatory, and executive processes.
• 3+ years managing cross-functional projects or teams for corporations or related organizations.
• 3+ years engagement with external affairs, public policy, or stakeholder management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal government relations programs, policies, and initiatives with full project management support.
• Monitor and analyze federal, state, and local regulations and define measurable advocacy outcomes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather content and integrate government relations into business planning.
• Develop analyses, talking points, advocacy materials, and manage contributors/vendors to ensure timely completion.
• Liaison with internal/external stakeholders including governments, trade associations, and customers.
