Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Government Relations to support state and local policy efforts, project management, and internal policy development while contributing to select federal initiatives.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Affairs and partners with cross-functional teams to drive policy-related strategies and advocacy. You will educate and advocate on key public policy issues, maintain relationships with government officials, and manage communications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science or related field.
• 5+ years of government relations experience.
• 3+ years navigating state/federal legislative, regulatory, and executive processes.
• 3+ years managing cross-functional projects or teams for corporations, governmental or non-governmental organizations.
• 3+ years engagement with external affairs, public policy, sales, investor relations, or stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Provide full project management for Ryder's government relations programs, policies, and initiatives.
• Monitor federal, state, and local regulations and track advocacy outcomes tied to business priorities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather qualitative and quantitative content for government relations strategies.
• Develop analyses, talking points, advocacy materials, and manage contributors and vendors.
• Liaise with internal/external stakeholders including governments, associations, customers, and policymakers.
