Job summary

CivilGrid is seeking an Account Executive to grow government presence across the Western US. You will lead public sector sales cycles, secure executive sponsorship, and drive multi-year contracts by delivering pilots with clear success criteria.

The role emphasizes understanding capital programs, RFP/RFQ processes, and multi-agency coordination, with a remote-friendly setup based in the Western US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise sales experience with a strong quota record.
• Experience selling software/tech into state or local government entities.
• Understanding of government buying cycles, budgeting, RFP/RFQ processes.
• Proven ability to manage multi-threaded deals with long cycles across stakeholders.
• Familiarity with government infrastructure language and funding programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, adaptable to executives and teams.
• Based in the Western US and able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex public sector sales cycles from prospecting to contract execution.
• Secure executive sponsorship and run pilots with measurable KPIs.
• Convert pilots into multi-year enterprise agreements or master contracts.
• Develop targeted outbound campaigns for government buyers and navigate procurement.
• Prepare executive presentations, ROI analyses, and business cases.
• Maintain stakeholder engagement across long procurement cycles.
• Represent CivilGrid at government and infrastructure events and conferences.
