Job summary

Arizona State Government is seeking a Governance and Compliance Advisor to safeguard the integrity of the state’s workforce system. You will guide governance practices, oversee compliance with WIOA, and coordinate with Local Workforce Development Boards and the Workforce Arizona Council to ensure transparent operations and strong regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years related experience in a program or project management position.
• Experience with workforce development in public or private sectors; governance and compliance.
• Ability to analyze and interpret regulations and translate them into guidance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze regulations governing workforce development programs to provide guidance to LWDBs.
• Provide hands‑on governance guidance and policy implementation to WIOA standards.
• Foster relationships with LWDB leadership and stakeholders to support statewide objectives.
• Provide updates to the Council on LWDB adherence to WIOA requirements and state policies.
• Coordinate with the Arizona DES to align policy implementation and monitoring.
