Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Business System Analyst (Governance) for a remote contract role. The candidate will partner with Enterprise Architecture, Engineering, Security, and Risk teams to assess architecture, data flows, and governance practices.

The role involves developing mappings, diagrams, and reports to drive modernization and risk mitigation. The position emphasizes collaboration across technology and business units, ensuring adherence to standards and measurable governance outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years in Systems Support or Analytics.
• Experience with enterprise technology solutions and transformations.
• Experience partnering with Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, Engineering, Infrastructure and Security teams.
• Experience evaluating system integrations, APIs, data flows, and cloud platforms.
• Experience governance, architecture review boards, or technology risk assessments.
• Banking or financial services tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with EA and Engineering teams to evaluate current-state and target-state architectures.
• Analyze architectures, interfaces, APIs, data flows, and infrastructure dependencies to identify risks.
• Participate in architecture reviews and provide recommendations on scalability, resiliency, security, maintainability.
• Develop and maintain business capability mappings, solution context diagrams, process flows.
• Assess the technical impact of proposed changes across applications, platforms, integrations.
• Ensure initiatives adhere to enterprise technology standards and information security requirements.
• Partner with Risk, Security, Compliance, and Audit teams to identify and mitigate technology risks.
• Evaluate process and system controls and recommend governance improvements.
• Support governance forums through analysis, recommendations, and reporting.
• Establish and enforce governance standards, policies, and best practices.
• Measure governance effectiveness through defined metrics and KPIs.
• Drive end-to-end solution delivery and coordinate resources.
