Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. is seeking a GovCloud Data Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement a secure, compliant GovCloud data infrastructure.

You will architect multi-environment systems, build IaC with Chef, and deploy PostgreSQL and BI components while aligning with FedRAMP and government security requirements. You will collaborate with security, compliance, and data engineering teams, handle CI/CD pipelines, and drive automation and observability across production environments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of infrastructure engineering and 3+ years with AWS.
• Proven greenfield cloud infrastructure from design to production.
• Strong PostgreSQL admin experience (performance, replication, backup).
• Python automation for data pipelines and monitoring.
• Chef IaC experience (cookbooks, recipes, environments).
• Experience with Google SAML/SSO integration and IAM.
• Tableau Server administration for BI deployments.
• CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab) and Git.
• Networking and security best practices in multi-environment designs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AWS GovCloud infrastructure with security and FedRAMP compliance.
• Establish PostgreSQL in GovCloud with HA, backups, and replication.
• Create IaC with Chef for provisioning and configuration management.
• Integrate authentication via Google SAML and SSO.
• Deploy BI infrastructure in GovCloud and manage access controls.
• Implement multi-environment architectures with isolation and promotion workflows.
• Develop monitoring/observability (CloudWatch, Datadog, Nagios) and runbooks.
• Support data pipelines and troubleshoot ETL/ELT issues and DB problems.
• Collaborate with security/compliance to meet gov requirements.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and automation for deployments.
