Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. seeks a senior engineer to lead control system analysis and design for ADCS. You will work on deep and broad aspects of guidance, navigation, and control across missions, with emphasis on embedded C++ implementations and hardware-in-the-loop validation.

Applicants should have a PhD or Master’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent, plus several years of GNC experience. Remote work from an approved location is possible, with a competitive salary and equity package.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent plus 2–3 years of professional experience, OR several years of hands-on GNC analysis and design.
• Proficient in C++ in an embedded environment; strong numerical programming and algorithm development skills.
• Experience with control stability analysis and spacecraft ADCS concepts desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for existing missions and roadmaps.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on the development of an offline geolocation processing pipeline.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
