ExtraHop is hiring a Global Support Engineer I to join a remote-first team. You will handle technical inquiries, deploy hardware and firmware for appliances, and guide customers through networking and security configurations. This is a growth role designed to broaden your hands-on networking knowledge.

Proactive learners with strong OSI/network fundamentals will thrive as you collaborate with cross‑functional teams and participate in knowledge sharing, documentation, and customer communications.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of OSI model and networking layers.
• Experience with routing/switching concepts and network topology.
• Familiarity with DHCP, TCP, DNS, TLS, HTTP and SSO protocols.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments.
• Foundational cybersecurity concepts and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide hardware and firmware deployment support for appliances.
• Engage in troubleshooting with available knowledge bases and guided docs.
• Handle initial stages of ticketing and escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Assist customers with network configuration and third‑party integrations.
• Maintain professional communication via phone, tickets, and video calls.
