Spectraforce Technologies is seeking an experienced Trade Compliance Professional to lead the export compliance program, with deep expertise in U.S. export controls, encryption regulations, and license requirements.

The role involves building and managing global export compliance programs, partnering with engineering, legal, and cross-functional teams to identify requirements and implement effective compliance solutions in a complex tech environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in export compliance.
• 5+ years of experience with U.S. export classification under EAR (software/tech).
• In-depth knowledge of encryption regulations and export controls for encryption tech.
• 5+ years collaborating with engineering teams on controls/classification.
• 5+ years using SNAP-R for licensing/compliance.
• 3+ years managing an export classification program.
• Strong program/project management skills; multi-initiative capability.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct export classification reviews for intangible items (software, tech).
• Coordinate collection of information and prepare global trade licenses/declarations, including deemed exports.
• Track U.S. and non-U.S. licenses/authorizations and expirations.
• Manage compliance and reporting obligations for licenses/authorizations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and perform enterprise-wide risk assessments.
• Evaluate regulatory impacts on technology solutions and development activities.
• Develop export compliance metrics and management reporting for intangible tech.
• Collaborate with engineering/technical teams on export controls and classification.
• Identify compliance gaps, gather requirements, and implement solutions.
• Support continuous improvement of the global trade compliance program.
• Execute additional projects supporting global trade compliance goals.
