Job summary

SunnyData in the United States seeks a Global Controller to own the accounting backbone for a multi-entity, multi-country services business and drive a faster, audit-ready close. You will lead the global close, consolidation, internal controls, intercompany flows, audits, tax, and FP&A, partnering with leadership to provide real-time visibility and scalable processes.

This role reports to the VP of Operations and Finance and manages an Accounting Manager in Uruguay and external accounting

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting leadership with close ownership.
• Active US CPA credential required.
• Hands-on accounting in professional services or tech consulting.
• Experience consolidating multiple legal entities and multi-currency reporting.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and internal controls.
• Proven record managing audits and tax coordination.
• Experience leading staff and coordinating external accounting partners.
• Builder mindset with ability to improve processes and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end monthly close and consolidation across US and international subsidiaries.
• Design scalable internal controls for order-to-cash and procure-to-pay cycles.
• Maintain intercompany billing, transfer pricing, and financing flows.
• Manage external audits, tax filings, and statutory compliance.
• Support cash flow reporting, FX exposure, and working capital management.
• Lead long-term planning, budgeting, and rolling forecasts with leadership.
• Develop and mentor Accounting Manager (Uruguay) and external partners.
