Job summary

Reserv is seeking a Team Lead for General Liability Claims to guide a high-exposure GL portfolio across industries. You will coach a team of adjusters, drive aged-inventory decisions, and oversee litigation strategy and reserves.

In a remote-first environment, you will review defense coordination, discipline aging files, and deliver client-facing reports on trends and outcomes. A DHS license and 2+ years leading remote teams are preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of insurance claims experience in high-exposure commercial GL claims across varied industries and loss types.
• Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State (DHS) license.
• 2+ years of leadership experience, with a preference for experience managing in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach adjusters across the General Team and Severity/Litigation Team.
• Own the weekly aged-inventory disposition review — tracking claims open past 120, 180, and 365 days to a defined decision rather than continued activity.
• Review litigation strategy, defense counsel coordination, and reserve adequacy on Severity/Litigation Team files.
• Manage account-based routing exceptions (ASM, QBE Rollover, excess lines) that fall outside standard litigation-status routing.
• Align adjuster caseload targets to verified account-code inventory, adjusting as staffing or volume changes.
• Serve as escalation SME for coverage questions and complex claim strategy.
• Prepare and present claims reports, aged-inventory metrics, and loss trends to clients and leadership.
• Increased reserve and settlement authority, with direct involvement in high-exposure file reviews.
