Job summary

Geographic Technologies Group in the United States is seeking a GIS Project Manager to lead and deliver moderately complex GIS solutions across environmental, planning, and engineering projects. This remote role requires strong communication, budget discipline, and the ability to manage multiple tasks to on-time completion.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of project management experience, a Bachelor’s in GIS or related field, and a PMP certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS or related field.
• PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute.

Responsibilities

• defines project scope, requirements and deliverables;
• develops, modifies or provides input to project plans;
• implements project plans to meet objectives; coordinates and integrates project activities;
• monitors project activities and resources to mitigate risk;
• implements or maintains quality assurance processes;
• identifies project documentation requirements or procedures;
• develops and implements project schedules and release plans in coordination with product teams;
• conducts analytical studies, feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses; evaluates compliance with laws and policies;
• identifies change management requirements;
• participates in change control and implements information systems security plans;
• ensures product-related training and documentation are developed for customers.
