Job summary

Bart & Associates, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Geospatial Data Analyst to support a federal government client on mission-focused work.

You will transform geospatial data into accurate, visually effective cartographic products using FME, QGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and professional cartographic principles. The role begins remote and will transition to onsite support as required, collaborating with analysts, developers, and government stakeholders to meet requirements and deliver timely

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Data Science, CS, Information Systems, or related field.
2–5 years of professional geospatial data analysis experience.
Experience with FME and QGIS; PostgreSQL/PostGIS knowledge.
Ability to work with vector, raster, elevation, and imagery data; strong cartographic skills.

Responsibilities

Transform geospatial datasets into finished cartographic products per specs and standards.
Develop and troubleshoot spatial workflows using FME for data transformation and automation.
Use QGIS for analysis, mapping, and layer management for diverse audiences.
Apply symbolization, placement, generalization, and quality control to maps.
Collaborate with analysts, developers, and government stakeholders to deliver outputs.
