Job summary

B&A in McLean, VA is seeking a Geospatial Data Analyst to transform geospatial data into cartographic products for a federal government client. The role involves using FME, QGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and solid cartographic principles to deliver accurate, mission-ready outputs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
2–5 years of professional geospatial data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

Transform geospatial datasets into accurate, readable cartographic products per specs.
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot FME workflows to integrate data from multiple sources.
Use QGIS for spatial analysis, map creation, and layer management.
Apply symbolization, portrayal rules, and generalization to ensure readability.
Collaborate with analysts, developers, and government stakeholders to deliver timely geospatial products.
