Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Geospatial Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2–5 years of geospatial data analysis or GIS operations experience.

Responsibilities

• Transform geospatial datasets into accurate, readable cartographic products per specifications.
• Develop and troubleshoot spatial data workflows using FME.
• Use QGIS to perform spatial analysis and create maps for diverse audiences.
• Apply cartographic rules for symbolization and portrayal.
• Perform generalization, displacement, and conflict resolution for map clarity.
• Create and position names, labels, and map elements to minimize conflicts.
• Maintain map layouts, legends, grids, scales, and other components for final products.
• Query and validate spatial and tabular data using PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Perform quality control to resolve symbol conflicts and portrayal issues.
• Collaborate with analysts, developers, and government stakeholders to meet requirements.
