Job summary

cFocus Software Incorporated seeks a Mid-Level Application Developer to join our program supporting the Department of Homeland Security. This position is remote and requires DHS suitability.

The role emphasizes building geospatial and data-visualization solutions using C#, .NET, ESRI APIs, ArcGIS, and Python scripting. You will engage in automated testing, secure DevSecOps practices, and collaborate across teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT/CS/Geography or related field.
• 5+ years of professional application-development experience, incl. geospatial solutions.
• Strong C# and .NET experience.
• Experience with ESRI tech and ArcGIS platforms.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and notebook workflows.
• REST APIs and data services experience.
• Automated testing and diverse test types.
• Git-based source control and Agile tools (GitLab/Jira/Confluence).
• Analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to meet DHS suitability and security requirements.
• Experience with DHS/public safety/ homeland-security missions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain geospatial applications for DHS missions.
• Build components using .NET, C#, ESRI APIs, and related tech.
• Create web apps with ESRI Experience Builder and ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
• Participate in architecture decisions for databases, interfaces, and integration.
• Develop reusable, reliable code with secure lifecycle maintenance.
• Ensure compatibility with ESRI releases and deploy features without disruption.
• Develop Python/ArcGIS Notebook scripts for data processing and publishing.
• Automate geospatial workflows and handle various data formats.
• Support integrations, ingestion, and security across environments.
• Prepare deployment docs and coordinate with DHS Cloud teams and stakeholders.
