Job summary

cFocus Software Incorporated is seeking a Mid-Level Application Developer for DHS support. The role is remote and requires DHS public trust clearance. You will design, develop, and maintain geospatial and situational-awareness applications using C#, .NET, ESRI APIs, and Python.

Responsibilities include building web apps with ESRI Experience Builder, dashboards, maps, and data services, plus automating workflows and ensuring secure, scalable deployments in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Geography or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional application-development experience with geospatial/visualization solutions.
• Experience with C# and the .NET framework.
• Proficiency with ESRI technologies: ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal, ArcGIS Online, ESRI APIs/SDKs, JavaScript API.
• Python scripting and notebooks (ArcGIS or Jupyter).
• Experience building REST APIs and working with JSON/GeoJSON and geodatabases.
• Experience with testing: unit/integration/regression/security/operational tests.
• Git-based source control and Agile tools like GitLab, Jira, Confluence.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to satisfy DHS suitability and security requirements.
• Experience with DHS or federal agency mission applications.
• AWS or enterprise cloud deployment of ESRI apps.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise administration and access control.
• Secure coding, DevSecOps, and vulnerability remediation.
• Knowledge of federal cloud/security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain geospatial and situational-awareness apps for DHS mission environments.
• Develop components using .NET, C#, ESRI APIs/SDKs within GCIS architecture.
• Create web apps using ESRI Experience Builder and ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
• Collaborate on data architectures, relational/geospatial databases, and enterprise integration.
• Write reusable, well-documented code for scalable, secure ops.
• Ensure compatibility with ESRI releases and implement approved changes.
• Develop Python and ArcGIS Notebook scripts for data processing and publishing.
• Automate workflows for geospatial data handling and reporting.
• Support ingestion across CSV/TXT/JSON/GeoJSON and geodatabases.
• Implement geocoding and USNG/MGRS coordinate workflows as needed.
• Evaluate AI-assisted workflows for real-time data handling.
• Integrate apps with identity services, data feeds, and enterprise systems.
• Create test plans, scripts, cases and traceability for requirements.
• Produce deployment docs and change-control artifacts.
• Coordinate with DHS cloud, AWS, security teams, and stakeholders.
• Diagnose defects, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes.
• Participate in code reviews and change-impact analyses.
• Prepare per-release code, docs, and integration tests.
