Job summary

Illumina, a leader in genomic technology, seeks an Executive Territory Account Manager for the Mid Atlantic. The role is field-based with a home-office setup in Rockville, MD, focused on achieving sales objectives within a national territory.

Travel and cross-functional collaboration are expected to drive growth and customer engagement. You will forecast sales, manage pipelines, and deliver technical seminars to customers while expanding Illumina’s presence in clinical and life science markets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical and research genetics and genomics; understanding of NGS and genotyping.
• Demonstrable experience with clinical and life science research accounts in the Rockville, Maryland area.
• 8+ years or equivalent life science capital sales experience.
• Strong drive to deliver results, individual and team.
• Proven success in lead generation, prospecting and business development.
• Ability to develop and grow key accounts through networking at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop territory and account-specific sales plans.
• Execute sales plans to meet quotas.
• Field-based activities; 50%+ travel expected.
• Forecasting and pipeline management.
• Maintain CRM data and relationships across organizations.
• Prospect for and generate new customer leads and opportunities.
• Stay informed on Illumina technology and opportunities; deliver technical seminars.
