Job summary

Labcorp Genetics is seeking a Remote Customer Service Support Representative I to handle billing inquiries, generate payment plans, and resolve account issues. The role requires strong communication and the ability to work with multiple systems during a structured training program.

The position supports various insurance and patient billing tasks, with a pay range of $17.75–$21.00 per hour and comprehensive benefits for eligible employees. Scheduling is Mon-Fri with PST/MST/CST/EST coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more healthcare-related call center experience.
• 1 year or more call center experience or healthcare-related customer service preferred.
• 1 year or more medical billing, insurance claims, and explanation of benefits (EOB) experience preferred.
• 1 year or more patient billing experience preferred.
• 1 year or more women's genetics, health and oncology experience preferred.
• 1 year or more molecular testing reimbursement experience preferred.
• 1 year or more Medicare and Medicaid experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of outbound calls regarding balances, billing inquiries, and payment options.
• Review reports and patient accounts to determine resolution actions.
• Research and resolve billing, insurance, and account-related issues.
• Initiate payment plans for patients with outstanding balances.
• Utilize multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries on the phone.
• Maintain performance goals and complete structured training.
