Job summary

National Power, LLC is seeking a Generator Service Technician to maintain and repair generator sets and electrical equipment across State College, Altoona, Phillipsburg, PA markets. The role reports to the Service Manager and involves troubleshooting, start-up, and commissioning of new systems.

The position requires strong communication, travel for on-site service, and willingness to work from home with equipment security responsibilities.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma required; Associate degree in electrical/mechanical field preferred.
• Current Generac Power Systems certification preferred.
• US Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist, US Navy Electrician’s Mate, or Generator/UPS field service technician preferred.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair generator sets (5-5000 kW) and ATS systems.
• Troubleshoot diesel/gas engines and electrical components; perform startup/commissioning.
• Conduct load bank testing and ensure code compliance.
• Assist other technicians on large or complex jobs.
