Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Remote Liability Claims Examiner to adjudicate complex Public Entity General Liability cases with serious injuries, complex coverage scenarios, and legal inquiries.

The role leverages your five years of General Liability claims management experience (or equivalent) and a Bachelor's degree preferred to gather information, coordinate with local counsel, respond to plaintiff's counsel, and establish liability estimates.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of General liability claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Address high-end Public Entity General Liability cases with serious injuries, complex coverage scenarios and legal inquiries or disputes; seek legal opinion and early resolution; gather/documents additional information and coordinate with client designees.
• Requests legal/private investigation; assigns to and coordinates with local counsel; monitors local counsel performance.
• Responds to plaintiff's counsel, union, employee, or client requests.
• Establishes/adjusts accrued liability and approves administrative expenses.
