Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Remote Liability Claims Examiner to adjudicate complex Public Entity General Liability cases. You will apply your knowledge to resolve injuries and coverage issues, coordinating with clients and local counsel to drive early, favorable outcomes while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Five (5) years of General liability claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Excellent judgment, troubleshooting, problem solving, analysis, and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Address high end Public Entity General Liability cases with serious injuries, complex coverage scenarios and legal inquiries or disputes.
• Gathers/documents additional information and coordinates with client designees.
• Requests legal/private investigations and coordinates with local counsel; monitors local counsel performance.
• Responds to plaintiff's counsel, union, employee, or client requests.
• Establishes/adjusts accrued liability and approves administrative expenses.
