RGP (Resources Connection) in Los Angeles is seeking a hands-on General Ledger Accounting Manager to lead the GL team, streamline the close, strengthen reconciliations, and maximize NetSuite capabilities.

This 4-month contract offers hybrid work (3 days on-site near Downtown LA, 2 days remote) and a pay rate of $80–$90 per hour, with prospects to extend or convert. The role requires 7+ years of accounting experience and strong NetSuite proficiency in a public-company environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience with strong GL close and reconciliation background.
• Industry experience in retail, consumer products, or related brick & mortar environments highly preferred.
• Proficiency in NetSuite is strongly desired.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with an IPO/public company mindset.
• Empathetic leader who can create stability during periods of rapid change.

Responsibilities

• Own and oversee the monthly GL close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
• Manage and mentor the GL team; provide leadership through change and growth phases.
• Drive enhancements to reconciliation processes and manage close calendar consolidation.
• Optimize NetSuite functionality to support process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Maintain and enforce accounting policies and internal controls in a public-company environment.
