Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking an in-house General Counsel for a part-time remote role to support a legal AI project. The candidate will handle technology transactions, contract drafting, review, and redlining, providing expert feedback to improve AI systems’ ability to interpret complex contractual language.

The role focuses on evaluating AI outputs, simulated negotiations, and developing evaluation frameworks while collaborating with product and research teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of in-house legal experience focused on technology transactions.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and redlining contracts (MSAs, NDAs, DPAs).
• Strong analytical and legal reasoning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to translate legal expertise into clear, actionable feedback for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform simulated contract negotiations, reviews, and redlining exercises.
• Draft and review contracts including MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and technology agreements.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses to contract scenarios for accuracy, legal reasoning, and risk identification.
• Provide detailed feedback to improve AI model performance.
• Develop evaluation frameworks, rubrics, and grading criteria for contract-related AI tasks.
• Identify contractual risks, inconsistencies, and areas requiring revision.
• Collaborate with product and research teams to improve legal AI workflows and guidelines.
• Document legal analysis and recommendations clearly and consistently.
