Job summary

Sartorius in the United States is seeking a Technical Sales Specialist for Gene Therapy, a remote-based role covering the Maryland area. You will pursue and convert new business through hands-on technical selling, demos, and trials that drive revenue and product adoption within a defined portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree or equivalent, 3+ years in technical sales or pre-sales in a scientific setting, and strong CRM proficiency.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of technical sales, applications support, or pre-sales in a scientific or technical setting.
• Demonstrated hunter mindset with ability to identify and win new opportunities.
• Strong hands-on technical capability with demos and trials.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and structured sales processes.
• Willing to travel >50% to engage external customers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective customers, including new logos and whitespace opportunities.
• Plan, execute, and manage technical demos and trials to validate customer fit.
• Drive deal progression by framing solution fit and addressing objections.
• Shape customer proposals and commercial offers with Central Sales.
• Deliver pre- and post-sales technical support and ensure smooth handoff to Central Sales.
• Capture and share Voice-of-Customer insights to influence product portfolio.
