Nelnet seeks a Data Pipeline Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines using BigQuery and Dataflow for GenAI use cases. You will transform and serve client data, ensuring governance and privacy requirements are met.

Qualifications include a BS in a related field, strong SQL/Python, and hands-on cloud experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, and Airflow. Hybrid remote work and in-office collaboration are supported.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building data pipelines for analytics/GenAI on cloud platforms.
• Experience with data governance and classification tooling (Dataplex, DLP).
• Strong SQL and Python for ETL/pipeline development.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines in BigQuery/Dataflow for GenAI use cases.
• Implement ELT/ETL processes for batch ingestion from SIS/ERP systems.
• Monitor pipeline reliability, cost, and performance at scale.
