Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Cloud Architect to design, lead, and implement cloud adoption strategies across a large enterprise using Google Cloud. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions, including on-prem to GCP migrations, with emphasis on AI-enabled automation.

The role requires strong architectural leadership, collaboration with vendors and internal teams, and the ability to produce architecture documents and roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 17 years IT exp without a degree
• Active Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Certification required.
• Hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and scaling solutions on Google Cloud.
• Ability to integrate GCP with SaaS and on‑premise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design & Architect cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) aligned with Microservices/SOA.
• Define Standards: publish cloud policies, reference architectures.
• Lead Cloud Adoption: build roadmaps and communicate strategies to stakeholders.
• Document Solutions: provide solution descriptions, risk assessments, and mitigations.
• Govern Architecture: ensure compliance with standards and security requirements.
• Enable Teams: develop training and provide technical guidance.
• Manage Vendors: coordinate with vendors for standard architectures.
• AI Integration: leverage AI to accelerate migrations and automate workflows.
• Automate & Integrate: automate tasks and integrate services with on‑prem and third‑party platforms.
• Troubleshoot: support high-priority incident resolution across design, development, and operations.
• Communicate: produce briefings and architecture diagrams.
