Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a senior architecture leader to guide a client through modernizing their cloud footprint on Google Cloud Platform. You will define strategy, oversee migrations, and ensure production-ready designs across services.

The role combines hands-on coding with governance, mentoring, and high-stakes stakeholder communication, focusing on cost optimization and secure, scalable patterns for enterprise workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree /4-year college degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
• 15+ years of software development experience
• 12+ years of strong hands‑on experience in Java
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing, migrating, and operating production workloads on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• 5+ years of experience in a consultative, client‑facing Lead Architect or Practice Architect role, with a proven track record of influencing executive stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Advise client executive leadership on technical strategy and modernization roadmaps
• Assess legacy portfolios and define migration strategies for GCP
• Define and govern scalable, secure distributed system architectures
• Conduct architecture reviews and document key decisions
• Mentor senior engineers and client teams to foster engineering excellence
• Define and enforce API design, testing, CI/CD, IaC, and security standards
