Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Lead Architect to deliver end-to-end solution architecture across complex client initiatives. The role blends hands-on coding with strategic direction, guiding modernization using GCP, API-first patterns, and secure-by-default practices.

You will mentor engineers, drive architecture reviews, and partner with account teams to shape proposals. You will lead design reviews, define guardrails, and stay close to code and runtime, ensuring scalable, secure, and maintainable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 15+ years of software development experience.
• 12+ years of hands-on Java experience.
• 5+ years in designing, migrating, and operating production workloads on GCP.
• 5+ years in a client-facing Lead Architect or Practice Architect role.

Responsibilities

• Advise client executives on technical strategy and modernization roadmaps.
• Assess legacy portfolios and define migration strategies for GCP.
• Define and govern scalable, secure, and highly available architectures.
• Lead architecture reviews and document key decisions and debt strategies.
• Contribute hands-on on prototypes, PoCs, and reference implementations.
• Define and enforce API, testing, CI/CD, IaC, and security guardrails.
• Ensure production-readiness with observability and incident response.
• Support practice growth through pre-sales collaboration and estimations.
• Mentor senior engineers and client technical teams.
